United Way Car Raffle Official Rules
A complete copy of these rules may be obtained at United Way of Central Georgia, 277 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Suite 301, Macon, GA 31201, during normal business hours Monday, Wednesday of Thursday each week, except holidays. Otherwise, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
1. Void where prohibited.
2. Must be 21 years of age or older to participate and win.
3. The grand prize winner will have a choice from one of six new Honda vehicles including: 2026 Ridgeline RTL, 2025 Pilot EX-L, 2026 Passport RTL, 2025 Accord Hybrid Touring, 2026 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring, or 2026 Odyssey EX-L. The winning ticket will be pulled from all tickets purchased prior to the 5:55 pm drawing time on January 16, 2026. The value of the Grand Prize will be determined based on the vehicle selected by the winner but may not exceed an MSRP of $46,200. The vehicles available for selection will be displayed at Hughes Honda, 2260 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088, during the dates of the contest.
4. United Way of Central Georgia reserves the right to change any of the rules and/or the terms for this contest. Odds of winning are based on the number of tickets purchased. A maximum of 6,000 tickets will be available for sale.
5. The winner of the grand prize is responsible for all taxes, title and licensing fees.
6. There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual or business may purchase.
7. A raffle ticket must be purchased for a participant to be eligible for the contest. Individual raffle tickets are $45 each (discounts on multiple ticket purchases) and may be purchased at the following locations:

8. On January 16, 2026, through a random drawing from all raffle tickets purchased, one ticket will be selected as the Grand Prize Winner! The Grand Prize Winner will be notified by one the following ways: telephone, text, email or mail using the information provided when the ticket was purchased. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.
9. On November 25, 2025, through a random drawing from all raffle tickets purchased prior to that date and time, one ticket will be selected for an Early Bird Prize Winner! That prize will be two tickets to the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech football game on November 29th, 2025 to be played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Early Bird Winner will be notified by one of the following ways: telephone, text, or mail using the information provided when the ticket was purchased. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win. The winner will be drawn live on United Way of Central Georgia’s Facebook page on November 25, 2025.
10. In accordance with federal law, winners receiving prizes valued at $600 or more will be issued IRS Form 1099 for tax reporting purposes.
11. Federal and state laws restrict ticket sales to residents who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the applicable statutes, regulations, and these Official Rules.
12. All net proceeds from the raffle directly support United Way of Central Georgia. By purchasing a ticket, purchaser agrees to all terms and conditions as set forth in these Official Rules.
13. A ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept the stated prize under these Terms and Conditions and, if selected, the “Winner Notification Agreement”, which is incorporated herein by reference. Possession of a valid ticket or receipt confirms entry into the raffle, subject to the Terms and Conditions. All tickets have an equal chance of being drawn.
14. Tickets, receipts and winners’ rights are non-transferable. Winners need not be present to win.
15. Winners must accept prizes “AS IS, WHERE IS”, subject to all latent and patent conditions, with absolutely no express or implied warranties of any kind by United Way of Central Georgia, Hughes Honda, or any associated sponsor.
16. The winner will be notified in writing through the Winner Notification Agreement (“WNA”), sent by certified U.S. Mail (return receipt requested) to the address provided by the winner. The winner will have seven (7) days from the date of receipt of the WNA to accept the prize by signing and returning the WNA in accordance with its stated terms. Failure to timely execute and return the WNA, or to accept the prize “as is” pursuant to the WNA’s terms, will result in automatic forfeiture of the prize. No substitutions or alternative prizes will be offered. In the event of forfeiture, the prize will be awarded to the next selected winner, in addition to any prize already awarded to that individual.
17. Prize will not be awarded, and will be forfeited, if the ticket was issued in exchange for a check returned for insufficient funds or for a credit card charge deemed declined, invalid, or stolen.
18. Prizes may not be substituted or exchanged by winner.
19. In accordance with IRS rules and regulations, the cost of tickets is not tax deductible.
20. All sales of raffle tickets are final and there will be no refunds.
21. The winner shall have no rights to the prize until the prize is fully and unconditionally accepted through the timely execution and return of the WNA and until the prize has been delivered in full. All prizes remain the sole property of United Way of Central Georgia until accepted by the winner “as is, where is.”
22. Proper identification must be presented to claim prize.
23. By accepting a prize, the winner grants United Way of Central Georgia, Hughes Honda, and other media sponsors permission to use their name, photograph, video image, and relevant quotes for promotional purposes. Acceptance of the prize also constitutes agreement that the prize will not be used for further fundraising.
24. The winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local income taxes, as well as any other taxes arising from the acceptance of the prize, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, rules, and directives governing raffles. All laws relating to transfer, ownership, or use of the prize apply. The prize will not be transferred until all legal requirements have been satisfied. For prizes valued over $600, the IRS requires that applicable taxes be paid upon acceptance and before delivery of the prize. Winners are encouraged to consult a tax professional regarding their obligations.
25. If there is more than one name on an entry, the prize will be awarded to the first name listed on the entry as the winner, so long as that person is 21 years old or older and a U.S. resident. It is the sole responsibility of the winner in a multiple party entry to allocate any prize among the participants in that entry.
26. The winner accepting the grand prize will be subject to all applicable laws and regulations including insurance of vehicle.
27. Purchase of this ticket constitutes full agreement by the purchaser that he/she agrees with all terms and conditions set forth herein.
28. Employees of United Way of Central Georgia, Hughes Honda, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the raffle or to win a prize.
29. “Immediate Family” is defined as the spouse, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This definition also includes individuals for whom an employee is the current legal guardian or individuals who are not legally related to but who reside with an employee. (“Step” relationships also are covered by this definition.) The determinations of United Way of Central Georgia are final and binding with respect to any matter arising out of the interpretation or application of these terms and conditions.
30. United Way of Central Georgia, Hughes Honda, and any associated sponsors maintain no control of the personnel, equipment or operations of any supplier and assume no responsibility for any financial loss, personal injury, property damage, other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which winners may experience by reason of (1) performance or nonperformance by any supplier; (2) wrongful, careless, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any supplier or its employees, or on the part of any other party not under the control of United Way of Central Georgia or Hughes Honda; (3) any defect, breakdown or other failure of any aircraft, train, automobile, ship, accommodation, or other equipment or instrumentality owned, operated, or otherwise used by a supplier or;(4) any acts of God, acts or omissions of third parties, damage or loss associated with any terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures, disease, local laws, climactic conditions, or other conditions or developments. United Way of Central Georgia and Hughes Honda shall in no event be liable for special or consequential damages arising from the use or ownership of any prize. Participants hereby release United Way of Central Georgia, Hughes Honda and any associated sponsors from any such claims.
31. Limitation of Liability: By purchasing a raffle ticket, each entrant forever releases and discharges the Beneficiary, Sponsor(s), their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or related to the raffle. This includes, without limitation, any liability for property damage, personal injury, or death resulting from participation in the raffle or from the use or receipt of any prize, however caused.
32. This is not a solicitation. This is for informational purposes only.
33. Violations and Disqualifications: Any violation of these rules, or any attempt to win by fraud, deception, or cheating, may result in disqualification from the raffle and from all current and future contests or events at the sole discretion of United Way of Central Georgia. Individuals found to have engaged in fraudulent activity will forfeit any prize(s) won by such means.
